Attractions
The Great Orme
A huge limestone headland rising above the town, offering extensive views across the Irish Sea and towards Snowdonia National Park. It's home to wild goats and can be explored on foot, by tram, or by cable car.
Cost: £5.50 for cars and £3.00 for motorbikes. Pedestrians and cyclists use the road for free.

The Tramway
A restored Victorian tramway with tramcars painted blue and cream, running up through the Great Orme Country Park and Nature Reserve, changing trams partway up before continuing to the summit.
Cost: from £11.25 to £12.30 and Child (3–16) Return tickets costing £8.05 to £9.30

Cable cARS
A scenic cable car ride to the summit of the Great Orme, though it only operates from around Easter to late October and cannot run on windy days.
Cost: £15.00 for an adult return ticket or £14.50 for a single. Child tickets are £12.50 for a return and £12.00 for a single.

Great Orme MINES
The largest prehistoric mine in the world, with sections dating back more than 4,000 years. Visitors can go underground via a series of slopes and staircases, and there's a surface walk with a smelting shelter.

Winner of Pier of the Year 2025, this Victorian pier is one of North Wales's premier attractions, with arcades, shops and food and drink outlets including the Oceans Bar.

Housed in the Old Board School on Lloyd Street, this whisky and gin distillery opened in May 2021 and offers shop visits, tours and masterclasses.

BEACHES
LlANDUDNO nORTH sHORE
Llandudno's main beach, running alongside the promenade between the Great Orme and Little Orme headlands. A mix of golden sand and pebbles, with plenty of spots to sunbathe, plus a paddling pool, play area and easy access to the pier and town. Also good for sea fishing and watersports like windsurfing and sailing, thanks to its position in the mouth of Llandudno Bay. The liveliest of the town's beaches, and the best fit for a classic family seaside day.
lLANDUDNO wEST sHORE
The quieter of Llandudno's two main beaches, facing Conwy Bay with views towards Anglesey and Snowdonia. Sandier and calmer than North Shore, with no lifeguard on duty, so it suits visitors after a peaceful stretch of sand rather than an amenity-packed day out. Well known for its sunsets, and for being one of the best kitesurfing spots in the country
angel bay
A small, wild inlet tucked into the Little Orme headland, a short drive or coastal walk from the town centre. Renowned for its wild seals, which can often be seen sunning themselves on the rocks or in the water, with the colony most active in autumn and early winter during pupping season. Access to the beach itself is restricted to protect the seals, so visitors watch from the cliff top, making it more of a wildlife-spotting stop than a swimming beach but a genuinely memorable one.
